Job summary

Aktivate in the Greater NYC Area (Remote) seeks an experienced Head of Engineering to lead our technology function as a solo leader reporting to the CEO. You will oversee all tech operations, driving data-driven insights to support our product and sales strategy, and guide architecture, AI expansion and end-to-end product development across mobile, web and data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience required.
• 7+ years in software development across web, mobile, APIs, and back-end systems with hands-on AI.
• 5+ years startup/small team experience.
• 4+ years scaling offshore teams.
• 5+ years delivering B2B, B2C, SaaS solutions with customer-service focus.
• 3+ years leading agile teams with customer-first mindset.
• Proficiency in PHP, React, React Native, RESTful APIs, MySQL/PostgreSQL, and GCP.
• Strong business acumen and leadership/communication skills.
• Sports fan is a plus.
