Job summary

Dynamism in New York is seeking a Head of Engineering for the founding team. You will own the engineering function from day one, stay close to the product, and build a team while preserving the craft of engineering.

This is a high-stakes, hands-on leadership role combining early architecture, delivery, hiring, and strategic tech direction. Full-time, in-person 4 days a week; base salary $250K–$400K plus equity. Stack and specific match details will be shared for each opportunity.

You have built a company or led its earliest engineering chapter. Now choose the next founder and problem worthy of that experience. Dynamism is speaking with several New York startups looking for a Head of Engineering who can own the function from day one, stay close to the product, and build a team without giving up the craft of engineering.

Dynamism partners with several post-PMF New York startups, including Series A companies, whose founders need a senior technical partner to turn product ambition into shipped software. This is an open search across those teams. We will share the company, founder, stage, stack, and equity for each specific match before you decide whether to proceed.

What you'll own

In the right match, you would be the founder's engineering counterpart. The work combines early architecture, hands-on delivery, hiring, and the judgment to decide which standards a growing company needs now.
