Job summary

Manatee County Government seeks an EMR Division Manager to lead Ecological Restoration, Mitigation Services, and Marine Resources programs. You will oversee budgets, grants, and permitting, coordinate with multiple departments, and supervise staff across projects on county lands and waterways.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive restoration experience, and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet program goals and regulatory timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in natural sciences or related field.
• Minimum five years of progressive program management experience in habitat restoration or related area.
• Deep knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting, grants and compliance.
• Strong leadership and project management expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary team overseeing Ecological Restoration, Mitigation Services, and Marine Resources programs.
• Develop and manage annual program budgets and grants.
• Coordinate with Fiscal Services, grant teams, and regulatory bodies.
• Oversee restoration planning, permitting, and compliance for projects.
• Support volunteer events, public meetings, and stakeholder engagement.
