Folly Theater seeks a Director of Development to lead fundraising strategy, growing contributed revenue and donor engagement. You’ll work with the President/CEO and Board to plan and implement plans across individual giving, sponsorships, grants, and endowment efforts, while guiding staff and volunteers.

You will manage donor relationships, supervise the Grants & Donor Relations Specialist, and partner with Marketing on communications and annual appeals to strengthen community impact.

Competenze

• Minimum five years of nonprofit fundraising experience with a track record of revenue growth.
• Strong ability to cultivate, solicit, and steward gifts and donor relationships.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; arts fundraising knowledge and KC philanthropic network valued.

Mansioni

• Develop and execute annual and multiyear fundraising plans for gifts, sponsorships, grants, events, and endowment.
• Manage donor research, moves management, and CRM records for accountability.
• Direct donor meetings, proposals, asks, and timely stewardship with leadership involvement.
• Build corporate/institutional partnerships and multiyear gifts; explore legacy giving.
• Coordinate with Board committees to translate priorities into actions and assess impact.
• Represent Folly at performances and events to broaden support and access to the arts.
• Oversee fundraising events (Art for Art, Garden Party, Folly Frolic) including budgets and logistics.
