Job summary

UTMB Health is seeking a Senior Director of Development - Communications to lead the development communications function within the Office of Development and Alumni Relations. You will oversee the timely production of proposals, case statements, stewardship reports and other materials to support UTMB's fundraising priorities.

You will collaborate with executives and investigators across campus to define needs, craft high-impact content and coordinate web and print communications for donor

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or Communications and 8 years related experience.
• Experience producing fundraising communications materials in a higher education or academic health environment.

Responsibilities

• Collects and edits proposals to seek gifts or grants from foundations, individuals and corporations.
• Develops and edits case statements and materials for fundraising priorities.
• Provides editorial support for annual giving and reunion giving efforts.
• Contributes content for web communications supporting development programs.
• Serves on Development Management Team to guide department activities and goals.
• Coordinates production of communications pieces for UTMB fundraising activities and events.
• Supervises development writers and manages acknowledgments and press materials.
