Job summary

The University of Texas Medical Branch is seeking an experienced media and communications professional to support strategic priorities through public relations, marketing and journalism. Reporting to Marketing, Communications and Business Development, you will engage internal and external audiences and help raise awareness of UTMB and its mission areas.

You will collaborate with internal teams and executives, manage social media content, develop pitches, create video content, and ensure quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5 years’ experience in public/media relations, marketing, journalism or related field.
• Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the school's social media presence and content; manage accounts.
• Identify, seek, and/or produce engaging and timely content.
• Track, monitor, analyze, and report on social media data.
• Develop media pitches and coordinate interviews.
• Organize photos for external use and maintain photo database.
