Job summary

Moonlake in San Francisco is seeking an exceptional Head of Design to shape how users interact with AI-generated worlds. You will lead the end-to-end design and implementation of products that blend AI, simulation, and creative tooling, turning complex capabilities into elegant experiences.

You will collaborate with researchers and engineers, prototype rapidly, and define a design language for a new software category.

Qualifications

• Strong frontend engineering experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.
• Experience designing products from zero to one.
• Ability to rapidly prototype ideas with minimal direction.
• Strong visual design with meticulous attention to detail.
• Comfort collaborating across design, product, and engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Design and build intuitive UX for AI-powered creative and simulation tools.
• Rapidly prototype product concepts from idea to working implementation.
• Collaborate with AI researchers and engineers to ship frontier capabilities.
• Own features end-to-end from interaction design to implementation.
• Build interfaces that simplify complex workflows across world generation, simulation, and multimodal AI.
• Refine product through user feedback and experimentation.
• Help establish design language and product direction for new AI software category.
