Product Owner B2C Payment Solutions
As a Product Owner B2C Payment Solutions, you will drive the strategy, development, and optimization of payment processing solutions within healthcare revenue cycle management (RCM). Your role will focus on enhancing transaction workflows, ensuring compliance, and integrating payment gateways with healthcare billing, claims, and patient payment systems, specifically with a focus on consumer-facing payment experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for B2C payment processing solutions in healthcare RCM.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including billing, finance, compliance, and technology teams, to optimize patient-centric payment workflows.
- Lead the integration of payment gateways with EHR/EMR, claims management, and patient billing systems to streamline transactions and enhance the patient payment experience.
- Ensure HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and healthcare payment compliance in all payment-related processes.
- Work with third-party payment processors, banks, and fintech providers to enhance transaction efficiency, security, and consumer-friendly payment options.
- Optimize patient payment collections, improving online, mobile, and in-office payment experiences, including self-service portals, digital wallets, and alternative payment methods.
- Drive innovations such as automated payment reconciliation, real-time claim payments, and seamless digital-first payment solutions tailored for patients.
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research to stay ahead of trends in B2C healthcare fintech and consumer payment behaviours.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs), including payment success rates, revenue collection efficiency, consumer adoption, and fraud prevention.
- Act as the primary point of contact for payment-related escalations, working closely with internal teams and external partners.
- Lead Agile ceremonies, ensuring smooth execution of B2C payment product initiatives aligned with healthcare RCM objectives.
Person Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in B2C payment solutions, healthcare RCM, or fintech.
- 4-6 years of experience in requirement management (Business Analyst/Product Owner) for SaaS products in payment solutions.
- Strong knowledge of consumer payment processing, insurance payments, and patient billing workflows.
- Experience working with payment gateways, merchant processors, and consumer-focused healthcare fintech solutions.
- Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, etc.), clearinghouses, and claims processing.
- Expertise in PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and other regulatory frameworks related to healthcare payments.
- Experience with API integrations for payment processing and RCM platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to optimizing payment workflows.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, and Agile methodologies.
