Job summary

Polluxa, Inc. in Pittsburgh seeks an Engineering Manager for Data Systems Hardware & Operations to lead the hardware, electrical, and embedded software engineering crafts across complex data capture systems.

You will own design and evolution of large-scale capture rigs, manage a multi-disciplinary team, mentor leaders and ICs, and drive architecture reviews, vendor engagement, and operational processes across Codec Avatars, Input, and Health programs.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering (or equivalent).
• 12+ years experience as a hardware engineer across electrical, mechanical, systems engineering, and embedded software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop hardware, electrical, and embedded software engineering craft for data capture systems.
• Own design and evolution of large-scale capture rigs, including multi-camera arrays and high-bandwidth data pipelines.
• Manage a team of mechanical, electrical, and firmware engineers; mentor leaders and individual contributors.
• Represent hardware engineering by developing culture, processes, and people to accomplish the team’s work.
• Own systems for designing, simulating, prototyping, and testing capture hardware; drive architecture reviews.
