Mercury Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Head of Data Engineering & Platform to build a scalable data foundation powering analytics, AI, and internal tools.

You will lead a senior team of data engineers, shaping the architecture, tooling, and engineering culture to enable reliable analytics and AI-powered products. The role requires strong data platform expertise, governance, privacy, and collaboration with Security, Legal, and product stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and trusted data

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields.
• 5+ years leading data or engineering teams.
• Experience architecting data platforms at scale.
• Expertise in data modeling, orchestration, streaming, and governance.
• Proven ability to work with Security, Legal and Privacy teams.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing data/analytics engineering team.
• Define and execute a long-term data platform strategy and architecture.
• Create semantic models, metadata, and tooling for trusted data reuse.
• Establish reliability, observability, data quality, and governance foundations.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Security, and Infrastructure leaders.
