Job summary

Vizient, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Platform Engineering Leader to shape the enterprise data platform strategy, with a focus on Azure Databricks, Microsoft SQL Server, and related Azure data technologies.

You will guide platform engineering and administration teams to deliver scalable, secure data services, modernize workloads to Lakehouse architectures, and establish governance, cost optimization, and self-service capabilities for analytics, ML, and AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience leading platform engineering teams and driving enterprise data initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of Azure data technologies (Databricks, SQL Server, Azure data services).
• Ability to establish Platform-as-a-Product practices, governance, security, and cost optimization.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute enterprise data platform strategy and multi-year roadmaps.
• Lead platform engineering and administration teams for reliable, secure data services.
• Drive platform modernization toward Azure Lakehouse architectures with resilience and DR.
• Establish IaC, CI/CD automation, and self-service capabilities.
• Govern data security, lineage, auditing, access management, and compliance.
