CarMax seeks a Director of Data Engineering and Platform to build scalable data foundations, standards, and platforms. You will lead a diverse team to define and deliver data engineering solutions, enterprise databases, cloud platforms, DevOps, and ML Ops that support critical business operations.

The role emphasizes strategic planning, stakeholder management, and a clear technology vision. You will manage large teams, ensure 24x7 data operations, and partner with vendors to enable data sharing

Formación

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, MIS, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of technology leadership with 7+ years managing data engineering teams and platforms.
• Experience with data and analytics technologies, ETL, big data, CI/CD, and performance optimization.

Responsabilidades

• Strategic planning and results focus to align data platforms with enterprise objectives.
• Direct cross-functional partnerships to deliver data engineering, DevOps, ML Ops, databases, and QA solutions.
• Lead 24x7 data and analytics operations and manage cloud spending and optimization.
