Job summary

Moody's is seeking a senior data platform engineer to design and operate the enterprise People data platform powering workforce analytics and AI-enabled insights. You will own scalable data lakehouse architectures and ensure reliability, governance, and security across HR data products.

You will collaborate with HR, Privacy, Legal, Risk, and Tech teams to translate business needs into robust data assets, shaping the future of Moody's People analytics.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data/analytics/platform engineering.
• SQL, data modeling and architecture expertise; design scalable data structures.
• Experience with cloud data platforms and lakehouse architectures.
• Strong data pipeline orchestration, testing, monitoring, reliability practices.
• Experience with data governance, metadata, lineage, and data quality frameworks.
• Translate business concepts into scalable, governed data assets.
• Workday data extraction (RaaS, WQL, Core Connectors) preferred.
• Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Platform, Databricks, Power BI knowledge preferred.
• AI expertise and governance for responsible AI adoption across the org.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate the enterprise People data platform powering analytics and AI-enabled insights.
• Design and maintain the People Analytics lakehouse and data architecture with reliability and observability.
• Develop, monitor, and optimize data ingestion and transformation from HR, talent, learning, engagement, and related sources.
• Build canonical datasets serving as the authoritative sources of truth for workforce data.
• Establish reusable data models, metadata, and semantic layers across analytics and AI use cases.
• Implement data quality testing, lineage tracking, monitoring, and certification processes.
• Collaborate with People Data Product Owners to translate requirements into data assets.
• Partner with Privacy, Risk, Legal, Security, and Technology for governance standards.
• Create reusable patterns and foundational data layers for enterprise reporting.
