Job summary

Lennar seeks a Director of Data Engineering to lead a cross-functional team of data engineers, analysts, and scientists. You will shape the analytics strategy, drive large-scale data initiatives, and partner with senior leadership to align data efforts with business goals.

This role requires deep technical and strategic leadership across data platforms and governance. Regular in-person work at Lennar offices is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Master’s degree or equivalent advanced qualifications are highly preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in data analytics or data science with senior/leadership roles.
• 5+ years in a senior leadership role leading diverse teams.
• Advanced proficiency with Python, SQL and data management platforms.
• Experience with Palantir Foundry is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data engineers, analysts, and scientists.
• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of data and analytics projects.
• Own the Product Org data platform strategy, including ingestion architecture and data contracts.
• Write production code and review pipeline design.
• Set data governance policies and ensure security and regulatory compliance.
• Represent data needs with stakeholders and negotiate data contracts.
• Oversee data platform cost and capacity planning with Lennar Technology Group.
