Job summary

Acquisition Network LLC, in partnership with Career Launch, seeks a Head of Data for senior leadership across data, ML, and analytics in the San Francisco Bay Area. The role focuses on building data capabilities to improve products, decisions, and operating performance.

Ideal candidates bring a track record of ownership, executive communication, and measurable results, with experience guiding data platforms, governance, and strategy in production environments.

Qualifications

• Senior experience in machine learning, data science, data engineering, analytics, or a related discipline.
• Strong statistical, technical, and experimental judgment.
• Experience taking data or model work from discovery into monitored production use.
• Ability to connect technical work to revenue, customer, risk, or operating outcomes.
• Clear communication with executives, engineers, analysts, and nontechnical partners.

Responsibilities

• Own data platform, analytics, governance, and organizational data strategy.
• Set the technical direction for data, machine learning, or applied AI initiatives.
• Turn business priorities into measurable models, data products, experiments, and production systems.
• Establish standards for data quality, evaluation, monitoring, privacy, and responsible model use.
• Partner with engineering, product, security, and business leaders on implementation and adoption.
• Communicate tradeoffs, limitations, and results clearly to technical and executive audiences.
• Develop team capability through hiring, mentoring, documentation, and repeatable operating practices.
