RevsUp represents a founder-led AI company, funded by cash flow from an established, profitable parent business, that is building the sovereign company brain for regulated enterprises.
The company’s agentic intelligence system runs entirely inside each customer’s own AWS or Azure tenancy so sensitive data never leaves their control. Its parent is a repeat-founder venture backed earlier by Seven Seven Six (Alexis Ohanian) and Thirty-Five Ventures (Kevin Durant), whose virtual campus platform safely serves more than 100,000 K-12 students.
This 15-person firm, whose AI product is funded today by its profitable, multi-million-dollar virtual campus business rather than a dedicated outside raise, is hiring its first-ever Head of Customer Success (alongside a Head of Sales) to own every customer from signed contract to live deployment to renewal and expansion, and to build the delivery pods behind them.
You will report directly to the co-founder and CEO and work closely with the Head of Sales and CTO; Los Angeles is preferred and New York is welcome, with remote candidates considered depending on circumstances, plus customer and executive travel, targeting a January 2027 start.
Solution
The platform is a permissioned company brain that connects to a business’s SaaS systems, meetings, and threads. It runs inside the customer’s own AWS or Azure tenancy and connects to the models and assistants a team already uses, such as Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or open-weight models, through MCP, so every agent inherits the employee’s exact permissions.
The delivery model pairs customer success with forward-deployed engineers who build agents on top; this leader will build the pods that deliver it. Two regulated-finance customers already pay for it, both closed by the founder, with more deployments in flight.
Role
- A founding, player-coach role: you own the full post-sale lifecycle (onboarding, deployment delivery, adoption, customer health, renewals, and expansion) and stay hands-on in delivery while you design how the function works.
- Today you inherit one contractor forward-deployed engineer, with the CTO also supporting delivery. Your first objective is to hire or convert your first full-time FDE, then build toward pods of roughly three FDEs per customer-success lead, adding CS leads as new customer groups come on.
- $185K to $215K base with target total cash compensation of approximately $275K; variable tied to deployments live, retention, and expansion, plus stock options in the parent company sized for a founding hire (0.3% to 0.6%) and full W2 benefits including medical and dental.
- You own renewals and drive expansion into new teams and use cases as a true revenue owner, working alongside the Head of Sales who lands the new logos.
- You will write the deployment playbook from scratch (kickoff, security review, data connections, permissions setup, first use cases) and own the metric that matters most here: cutting the time from signed contract to live deployment, against a baseline you and the CEO set.
- The executive relationships you will run post-sale include the COO and the head or director of IT, with regular business reviews; customers rarely know how to manage or judge engineers, which is exactly where this role creates value.
- You have led customer success, professional services, or implementation for a complex technical enterprise product, are technical enough to lead engineers (cloud deployments, data integrations, permissions), and have built a team and delivery process from scratch, not just run one.
- Forward-deployed or Palantir-style delivery experience, a hands-on engineering or solutions-architecture background, and AWS or Azure deployments inside customer tenancies are strong pluses; regulated-industry security and compliance experience in financial services is ideal.
Culture
- The founder and CEO is a repeat entrepreneur who built a spatial-video platform that hit #3 Product of the Day on Product Hunt and drew backing from Seven Seven Six and Thirty-Five Ventures, then scaled a virtual campus into a platform for more than 100,000 K-12 students.
- A profitable, multi-million-dollar virtual campus business funds the new venture, so you get founding-team scope with a real revenue engine behind it; the CEO plans to raise outside capital only once the sales motion is proven.
- The AI platform already runs the company’s own business day-to-day, and two paying customers in regulated finance validate the product, both sold by the founder before any sales hire existed.
- Direct access to the CEO: you collaborate closely with the founder (in person when in Los Angeles), shape pricing and positioning together, and inherit the pipeline he has personally built.
- The product is genuinely differentiated: a sovereign, permissioned company brain inside the customer’s own tenancy that works through the tools employees already use, a sharp answer to CEOs being told to just build AI in-house.
- Note: The established business and the new AI business are one company; several roles support the core legacy and virtual campus product, and the new AI platform is being built within it (today the CEO, the CTO, and one contractor FDE).
Official Job Description
The role
- You will be the Head of Customer Success for the company’s AI platform: you own every customer from signed contract to live deployment to renewal and expansion, and you lead the pods that deliver it.
- Reports to: Co-founder and CEO
- Works with: the Head of Sales, our CTO and engineering
- Owns: onboarding, deployment delivery, adoption, customer health, renewals and expansion, and the customer success and forward-deployed engineering pods
- Each pod pairs customer success with forward-deployed engineers who build agents and applications for the customer. You will design how the pods work, then hire and lead them. Today our first forward-deployed engineer is a contractor, so you will build this team largely from scratch.
What you will do
- Take over the deployments in flight and get each one live in the customer’s AWS or Azure tenancy
- Build a repeatable deployment playbook: kickoff, security review, data connections, permissions setup and first use cases
- Run discovery with customers to find the workflows where agents create the most value, then scope the build with your engineers
- Lead executive relationships with COOs and heads of IT after the sale, including business reviews
- Track adoption and customer health, and catch at-risk accounts early
- Own renewals and drive expansion into new teams and use cases, working with the Head of Sales
- Feed what customers need back to product and engineering
- Hire and lead customer success managers and forward-deployed engineers, organized in pods
What success looks like
First 90 days
- Get the current deployments live, with a first use case in production at each customer
- Write the deployment playbook and a standard way to measure customer health
- Hire or convert your first full-time forward-deployed engineer
First year
- Meet agreed go-live milestones, build a referenceable customer base, and retain customers whose renewals fall due.
- Expansion revenue from existing customers
- Reduce time from signed contract to live deployment against a baseline and target agreed with the CEO.
- Two or more working pods, each able to run a deployment without the CEO
Who you are
- You have led customer success, professional services or implementation for a complex, technical enterprise product
- You are technical enough to lead engineers: you understand cloud deployments, data integrations, permissions and how agents use them
- You have managed post-sale relationships with sophisticated buyers, ideally in financial services or another regulated industry
- You have built a team and a delivery process from scratch, not only run an existing one
- You think like an owner of revenue: you see renewals and expansion as your job, not sales’ job
- You are calm under pressure and good at telling customers hard truths about scope and timing
Nice to have
- Experience in a forward-deployed or Palantir-style delivery model
- Hands-on engineering or solutions architecture background
- Experience with AWS or Azure deployments inside customer tenancies
- Familiarity with security and compliance reviews in financial services
- Compensation and logistics
- Base salary: competitive, depending on experience
- Variable: bonus tied to deployments live, retention and expansion; plan to be defined together
- Equity: stock options in the parent company, sized for a founding hire
- Location: Los Angeles preferred; New York welcome, since many of our customers are there. Remote is possible depending on circumstances
