Job summary

FirstEnergy, headquartered in Akron, OH, seeks a senior leader to develop and execute enterprise customer programs, DERs, and electrification initiatives across multiple states, aligning customer needs with regulatory requirements and utility objectives.

You will lead regulatory filings, stakeholder engagement, and program design with cross-functional teams, including Regulatory Affairs, Rates, Legal, Engineering, and Operations, while building a multi-state roadmap for expansion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Business Administration, Technical, Public Affairs/Communications or related discipline.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in customer programs, regulation, and multi-state programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute enterprise strategy for customer programs, DERs, electrification, and VPPs.
• Lead regulatory filings, business cases, testimony support, and stakeholder engagement.
• Partner with Regulatory Affairs, Rates, Legal, Engineering, Operations and State Leadership to secure program approvals.
• Represent FirstEnergy before public utilities commissions and other stakeholders.
• Oversee procurement and management of consulting firms, vendors, and research partners.
• Build and lead cross-functional teams to implement complex, multi-year initiatives across functions.
