Job summary

Contra Labs in San Francisco seeks a Head of Creative to push the boundaries of AI-driven digital experiences. You will lead the creative vision and execution of one-of-one websites, interactive reports, and generative visuals that demonstrate frontier AI capabilities.

You will collaborate with designers, researchers, and engineers, experiment with emergent models, and ship ambitious, visually stunning work that redefines what AI can produce.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in creative direction, art direction, digital design, or creative technology.
• Portfolio of original, visually ambitious work across digital experiences.
• Demonstrated experience using generative AI to create sophisticated work.
• Strong command of visual design, typography, composition, interaction design, and digital aesthetics.
• Experience taking ambitious concepts from exploration to polished execution.
• Proficiency with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and emerging AI-native platforms.
• Strong creative communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the creative direction for Contra Labs with an exceptionally high bar for originality and craft.
• Conceptualize, design, and ship one-of-one websites, interactive reports, and digital experiments.
• Explore frontier AI across image, video, code, motion, and 3D to discover new capabilities.
• Invent workflows that combine frontier AI models with traditional tools for exceptional results.
• Transform research breakthroughs into compelling, visually extraordinary experiences.
• Hands-on execution in design, code, and generative tools to prototype and ship concepts.
• Collaborate with world-class designers, researchers, and engineers to push multi-disciplinary limits.
• Pioneer emerging formats to redefine how AI is communicated and experienced.
