Contra Labs (New York City) seeks a Head of Creative to push the boundaries of frontier AI in digital experiences. You will lead the creative vision and execute ambitious, one-of-one websites, interactive reports, and generative visuals that showcase AI’s potential.

You will collaborate with world-class designers, researchers, and engineers, experiment with emerging models, and turn bold ideas into publicly visible work that redefines creativity in AI-driven media.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in creative direction, art direction, digital design, or creative technology.
• Exceptional portfolio of original, visually ambitious work.
• Demonstrated experience using generative AI to produce creative work.
• Strong command of visual design, typography, and digital aesthetics.
• Experience taking concepts from exploration to polished execution.
• Proficiency with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and emerging AI-native platforms.
• Strong creative communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the creative direction for Contra Labs with high originality and craft.
• Conceptualize, design, and ship ambitious one-of-one websites, interactive reports, and digital experiments.
• Continuously explore frontier AI models across image, video, code, motion, and 3D.
• Invent workflows that combine frontier AI with traditional tools for exceptional results.
• Transform research breakthroughs into compelling visual experiences.
• Hands-on prototyping and rapid iteration in design and generative tools.
• Collaborate with designers, technologists, researchers, and engineers.
• Pioneer emerging formats and new ways to communicate with AI.
