Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is seeking a highly skilled CPU validation engineer in Folsom, CA to lead post-silicon hardware security validation across platforms and accelerators. You will collaborate with architects, RTL, firmware, and software teams to ensure feature quality and security readiness.

Responsibilities include developing test plans, stress and security-focused suites, and mentoring junior engineers while driving milestones.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in CPU Core or Security post-silicon validation.
• Experience with test development and system-level debug.
• Knowledge of AMD hardware security technologies and mitigations.
• Strong knowledge of x86-64 paging, memory management, and cache coherency.

Responsibilities

• Lead CPU Core Hardware Security validation across post-silicon environments.
• Develop test plans, validation documentation, and coverage models for CPU, security, firmware, and OS interactions.
• Collaborate with CPU architects, RTL, firmware, and software teams to understand feature specifications and define validation strategies.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive validation milestones across multiple teams.
