Position Summary:

Infineum is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and compliance and seeks a dedicated and experienced Global Corporate Compliance Manager to join our team and help to ensure the strategic development, implementation and management of a comprehensive compliance and ethics program designed to ensure compliance with laws, regulations and policies across all relevant jurisdictions globally. The role is a leadership position reporting directly to the EVP/Chief Legal and Compliance Officer and, working in close partnership with senior management, business areas and corporate functions, oversees Infineum’s global compliance and ethics program including compliance requirements and promotion of an ethical company culture.

What you'll be doing:

  • Serve as the day-to-day leader of Infineum’s global compliance and ethics program, overseeing the development, administration, governance and continued improvement of appropriate programs, frameworks and processes on a global scale to address key compliance risks, including but not limited to anti-bribery/corruption, data privacy, global trade (import/export), sanctions/export controls, forced labor/human trafficking, and ethical business practices.
  • Lead and develop a global team of compliance professionals, fostering a culture of integrity, transparency and accountability and supporting Infineum’s business strategy and operations while acting as a trusted professional, value-adding business partner and company leader.
  • Advise and support senior leadership on compliance and ethics-related matters and build strong relationships with leaders and key stakeholders to drive the adoption of compliance and ethics initiatives globally.
  • Develop and oversee the global third-party risk management framework, ensuring a consistent, risk-based approach to onboarding/monitoring third party suppliers and other business partners, leading efforts to assess and mitigate risks related to third party relationships (with a focus on anti-bribery/corruption, sanctions and reputational risks), and ensuring effective implementation of third party due diligence processes.
  • Together with corporate functions and business leadership, conduct regular periodic corporate compliance risk assessments, including evaluating current risk areas for gaps, developing risk mitigation plans, and driving implementation of risk mitigation plans.
  • Oversee the monitoring and auditing of key aspects and risks of the compliance and ethics program, including partnering with Internal Audit to conduct regular and risk-based audits, establishing appropriate metrics, and reporting results.
  • Drive awareness of, and accountability for, maintaining an ethical company culture and ensuring ethical decision-making; partner with senior leaders and managers to ensure active “tone at the top”.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor compliance and ethics training, including ensuring completion of effective, risk-based training by all relevant personnel and alignment of training to applicable laws and regulations.
  • Ensure that the Code of Conduct and other compliance policies remain effective and up-to-date.
  • Together with key corporate stakeholders, ensure appropriate procedures are in place to identify, investigate and track potential legal, compliance or ethical misconduct, including processes for investigations, root cause analyses, disciplinary action, and prevention of retaliation.
  • Continually assess the effectiveness of the compliance and ethics program through the development and deployment of metrics and analytics, including benchmarking against other organizations.
  • Interact with external parties, external professionals and regulators on compliance issues and stay up-to-date on the latest regulatory changes and industry best practices.

A successful candidate is likely to have:

  • Education: Appropriate degree in law, finance, business administration or related field; certified compliance professional is desirable.
  • Proven experience in corporate compliance with people management experience. Chemical industry experience is desirable and experience in a manufacturing industry
  • Strong knowledge and experience of global anti-bribery/corruption, data privacy, global trade (import/export), sanctions/export controls, forced labor/human trafficking, ethical business practices, and third party risk management tools/processes (including compliance automation tools).
  • Ability to navigate complex legal/regulatory landscapes across multiple jurisdictions, providing clear guidance to business leaders across regions, and to manage various matters with conflicting priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate and engage effectively with senior leadership, business leaders across regions, and all other levels within the business.
  • Skilled in influencing management within diverse business, cultural and interpersonal environments, with the ability and willingness to build consensus and communicate effectively with all levels of personnel with a combination of tenacity and tact.
  • Well-versed in how businesses operate, with financial and business acumen and a pragmatic, proactive and persistent approach.
  • High degree of professional ethics, integrity and gravitas, with the ability and willingness to apply high ethical standards, protect the higher interests of the organization and uphold Infineum values.
  • Strong analytical abilities, judgment, critical thinking and attention to detail, with the ability to deal with ambiguity using a risk management and strategic mindset.
  • Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards in the compliance area.
  • Ability and willingness to travel.
