Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Communications Director to lead our company-wide communications strategy, strengthening connections with employees, clients, industry partners, and communities. You will shape Benesch's voice and brand across internal and external channels.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
12+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, public relations, marketing communications, or related field.
Demonstrated experience developing and executing integrated communications strategies across internal and external audiences.
Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, and content development skills.
Experience advising executive leadership and senior business leaders on strategic communications.
Experience leading and developing communications professionals and coordinating teams/external partners.
Strong understanding of brand strategy, reputation management, and integrated marketing communications.
Experience managing corporate websites, digital communications, social media, and content strategy.
Experience developing thought leadership content and positioning experts as industry voices.
Experience with internal communications strategies and communicating company strategy, culture, and employee initiatives.
Experience with media relations and building relationships with industry publications and media outlets.
Strong understanding of analytics to evaluate effectiveness and improve programs.
Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and lead an integrated, company-wide communications strategy aligned with business objectives and brand.
Advise executive leadership and leaders across the organization on communications.
Lead and mentor the communications team and coordinate work with marketing managers and external partners.
Oversee brand stewardship, voice, and visual identity across channels.
Lead the strategy and ongoing development of the company website, digital channels, and social media presence.
Develop communications strategies that strengthen understanding of strategy, performance, culture, and initiatives.
Oversee internal communications across offices and geographies.
Partner with executives and internal teams on communications for initiatives and organizational changes.
Develop thought leadership content with technical and business leaders.
Lead media relations and opportunities to increase visibility in industry publications and conferences.
Oversee website content, messaging, UX, and content strategy with technical resources.
Ensure coordination of campaigns across internal/external/digital channels.
