Job summary

Xe.com is seeking a Head of Compliance, US with a dual role spanning Xe and Dandelion. Reporting to the VP of Compliance, you will lead the US compliance program, oversee complex examinations, and coordinate with Banks, Regulators, and the AML Oversight Committee.

You will guide product/regulatory requirements from design through launch, manage external reviews, and drive policy across Xe and Dandelion with a strategic, global mindset.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in compliance, financial crime, regulatory advisory or licensing within US payments, MSB, FX or fintech; bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Deep knowledge of BSA/OFAC, FinCEN MSB rules, SAR obligations, state money transmitter law (NYDFS, CDFPI), CFPB and Regulation E.
• Track record leading SAR programs, multi-state examinations, audits, partner bank engagements and Board/AML Oversight Committee reporting.
• Experience assessing partner and correspondent risk and evaluating complex business cases for financial institution and fintech partners; ICA, ACAMS or CFCS certification and AI/ML exposure are a plus.

The Role

Reporting to the VP of Compliance, who oversees both Xe and Dandelion, this compliance leadership role has a dual mandate across both businesses. Within Xe, this position serves as the most senior compliance leader for Xe in the US. Within Dandelion, the role serves as a strategic compliance partner to the platform business. This position participates directly in Board reporting, the AML Oversight Committee, and Dandelion's Risk StewardshipTeam.

Xe: US Growth and Regulatory Leadership

• Serve as the most senior Xe compliance contact in the US, leading external and multi-state examinations, audits and independent reviews end-to-end, including remediation.
• Manage Xe's banking relationships and act as the escalation point for the Operations team on high-risk cases and SARs, owning the US SAR program with the FIU.
• Ensure Xe's US products comply with all applicable regulations, partnering with Business and Product teams to embed requirements from design through launch.

Dandelion: Partner and Network Strategy

• Act as the client-facing compliance lead for Dandelion with banks and prospective network partners, articulating capabilities and compliance expectations from the earliest discovery conversations.
• Review complex business cases and assess potential network participants, including partner risk profiles, payment flows and control environments across the Americas.
• Act as strategic compliance advisor to the Dandelion platform business on partner and business opportunity structures, including correspondent banking and payout models, and advise on whether opportunities should proceed.
• Participate in Dandelion's Risk Stewardship Team, reporting partner and network risk and emerging control issues.

Shared: Policy and Escalations

• Own the US compliance policy framework across Xe and Dandelion, including policy maintenance, training and exception management, and support Operations, Product and Legal with practical guidance as new initiatives roll out.
• Monitor regulatory and market trends across Xe andDandelion andcommunicate emerging risks and regulatory developments internally.
• Act as the escalation point for regulatory and policy matters across both brands.

Who You Are

• Experienced leader who balances long-term strategy with short-term solutioning, moving fluidly between the two as priorities shift.
• Balances risk well and enables growth responsibly, with high agency and a demonstrated record of complex problem-solving in ambiguous situations.
• Background in payments, with strong regulatory fluency across US money transmission, MSB, FX, EMI or electronic money, cross-border payments or fintech.
• Senior enough to operate credibly in Board, AML Oversight Committee and Risk Stewardship Team settings, and to represent the company externally with regulators, banking and network partners and auditors.
• Confident, credible voice able to simplify complex compliance topics for general audiences, and skilled at running multiple high-stakes workstreams at once.
