Job summary

Blacksmith is seeking a Capacity Planning Manager to ensure we can scale our infrastructure in San Francisco. You'll own the capacity planning process, build forecasting models, and manage supplier relationships to ensure availability as demand grows.

Ideal candidates will have experience in large-scale infrastructures and strong analytical skills. The role requires close collaboration with founders and a commitment to in-person work in SF.

Qualifications

• Experience operating large-scale infrastructure, cloud, hosting, or datacenter environments.
• Experience with capacity planning, forecasting, or infrastructure operations.
• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own capacity planning across compute, storage, networking, and datacenter infrastructure.
• Build forecasting models for infrastructure demand and growth.
• Manage relationships with hardware vendors and datacenter providers.
