Job summary

Smith + Howard PC, headquartered in Atlanta, seeks a Director of Quality Control to lead the design, implementation, and ongoing improvement of the firm’s System of Quality Management across all assurance service lines and offices. You will work with AI initiatives and offshore resources to ensure quality, consistency, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA license required.
• Minimum 10–12 years of progressive experience in public accounting.
• Experience with multiple audit software platforms.
• Ability to lead cross-office quality initiatives.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience with peer review processes or AICPA quality management standards implementation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the SOQM across offices and service lines.
• Lead offshore/APS quality control and audits.
• Coordinate CPE compliance and education committees.
• Collaborate with AI Steering Committee on tech oversight for quality.
• Monitor regulatory developments and update policies.
