Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a Manager, Assortment Planning at our corporate office to guide and train the assortment planning team. You will direct initiatives to optimize assortments by department and category, align with financial plans, and drive sales and margin improvements.

You will work with Merchandising, Inventory Management, and Finance to ensure cohesive strategies, oversee development of the Assortment Planning organization, and foster strong team performance in a dynamic retail

Qualifications

• Experience leading 3–5 direct reports and driving performance.
• Background in assortment planning or merchandising.
• Knowledge of retail operations (merchandising, logistics, finance, planning).
• Proven ability to present item plans and translate data into action.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance, direction, and training to assortment planners.
• Establish appropriate assortments by dept, category, and subcategory.
• Partner with merchants and inventory management to align plans and flow.
• Lead category level reviews and monthly performance assessments.
• Implement space and presentation standards within the assortment process.
