Job summary

Inmar Intelligence seeks a seasoned Manager of Application Engineering, Cyber Security, to lead the security engineering team responsible for automation, tooling, and secure product lifecycles across development teams.

The role requires deep expertise in security controls, compliance, and cloud security, with hands-on leadership in architecture, code reviews, and penetration testing. Strong communication and mentoring are essential in this senior capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, related field or relevant experience.
• 10+ years of related work experience in security engineering, systems engineering and/or DevOps with a focus on information security.
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams, particularly within an Agile environment.
• Experience with regulatory and compliance frameworks, such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, CCPA, GDPR.
• Certifications preferred: CISSP, Security+, CISM, GSLC.
• Experience in web, application, server and endpoint security.
• Strong knowledge of OSINT, OWASP, CIS.
• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical leadership on architecture, design, code review and QA for security engineering.
• Establish and drive adoption of security design standards and coding practices.
• Drive security engineering improvements across organizational boundaries.
• Collaborate on engineering initiatives as part of the engineering leadership team.
• Lead third-party/vendor and security reviews, threat modeling and penetration testing.
• Develop policy and documentation to guide secure practices.
• Communicate value of complex security concepts to stakeholders.
• Design systems with controlled risk and meaningful impact.
