Asana is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead the Agent Context team in New York City. You will guide the systems that search, retrieve, and reason over the work graph, collaborating with partner teams across time zones.

The role is based in NYC with an office-centric hybrid schedule—in-office on Mon, Tue, Thu, with optional remote on Wednesday. You will own technical direction, build evaluation infrastructure, and balance latency, accuracy, and cost.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years managing engineers.
• Experience shipping and operating production search, retrieval, or ML-serving systems at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction and delivery of the retrieval stack end to end.
• Build and operate the evaluation infrastructure for retrieval quality.
