Qualifications

• PhD in Statistics, Data Science or related quantitative discipline with 15+ years in industry, or a Master’s with 18+ years of equivalent experience.
• Extensive leadership in pharma/biotech focusing on quantitative sciences and AI applications.
• Proven track record scaling technical innovations across a global R&D environment.
• Deep expertise selecting and qualifying methodologies to optimize technical and regulatory success.
• Exceptional ability to bridge complex science, technology and business decision making.
• Experience influencing external regulatory landscapes on AI-driven approaches.

Responsibilities

• Shape global R&D strategy as a member of the Data and Quantitative Sciences leadership team.
• Develop and own the strategic roadmap for advanced methods and AI integration.
• Translate fragmented tech advances into reusable tools and standardized, regulated frameworks.
• Lead integration of AI into clinical workflows from pilot to scale within GxP environments.
• Establish governance for model validation and reproducibility to meet regulatory standards.
• Represent the organization with regulatory bodies, academia and industry consortia to define AI standards in clinical development.
• Direct a multidisciplinary team across AI methods and decision science in a hub-and-spoke model.
