Job summary

Takeda seeks a visionary leader to head AI and Data Science, shaping enterprise AI strategy and driving scalable, responsible AI across the organization. This role reports into the Data, Digital and Technology group and requires deep expertise in AI infrastructure and governance.

You will build an AI Center of Excellence, partner with cross-functional teams, and steer AI programs from ideation through production, with a focus on measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in technology strategy, data analytics, or intelligent automation.
• Proven pharma industry experience.
• Proven success designing AI systems at scale in production environments.
• Deep expertise in modern AI and enterprise-grade system design.
• Experience with Generative AI and Agentic platforms (LLMs, planning and reasoning).
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Takeda’s enterprise AI strategy and roadmap.
• Build and lead an AI Center of Excellence.
• Collaborate with business, technology, and governance teams to embed AI into workflows.
• Own end-to-end AI product lifecycle from strategy to deployment.
• Establish practical guardrails for model risk management and ethics.
