Base pay range

$235,000.00/yr - $275,000.00/yr

Aventis Solutions is proud to partner with an elite global tech company looking to bolster its internal and external presence using AI, data and technology. This is a rare opportunity to lead and scale a cutting-edge AI engineering, data science & innovation lab function that bridges the worlds of business strategy, software engineering, big data infrastructure, and advanced machine learning, including generative AI and LLM technologies.

• Salary: $235,000–$275,000 base + big bonus + strong benefits package
• Location: Remote-based with core HQ in Dallas, Texas. Other offices are in New York, Chicago, and Washington, DC.
• Future Outlook: Executive Leadership Pathway: This role is an ideal stepping stone toward VP of AI, Chief AI Officer, or CTO positions. Whether within this company or beyond. You'll already be interfacing with executive leadership and influencing enterprise-wide AI direction.
• Cloud & Big Data Expertise: Familiarity with hybrid cloud/data platform solutions such as Databricks, Snowflake or similar. AWS, Azure or Google Cloud (GCP) is ideal.
• Data Engineering & DevOps Foundations: Skilled in overseeing large-scale data processing pipelines using Spark, Kafka, Airflow, or dbt. Comfortable working across structured and unstructured data ecosystems, with attention to scalability, latency, and security.
• Vision & Strategy: Ability to define technical roadmaps that align with enterprise goals. Experience interfacing with CIOs, Product, and Executive teams to secure buy-in and budget for AI-first initiatives.
• People Leadership: Proven track record in building and mentoring high-performing teams across AI, data, and technology. Emphasis on fostering innovation, learning, and experimentation.
• Commercial Strategy: Link the technology and AI initiatives to the wider business strategies.
• Innovation Focus: Passion for open-source tools, research-based development, and cutting-edge model experimentation (RAG pipelines, synthetic data generation, fine-tuning LLMs).
• Communication & Influence: Clear communicator capable of translating AI/ML innovations into business impact. Strong influencing skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Role Overview:

Head of AI, Data Science & Innovation: You’ll lead, shape and build a next-gen AI function sitting at the intersection of advanced ML, software engineering, and data cloud infrastructure. This team is the internal engine driving AI transformation, building reusable platforms, shipping LLM-powered features, and optimizing data-driven products for scale.

This isn’t just an ops role. You’ll shape the technical vision and execution strategy, and drive architectural decisions. You’ll push boundaries with new AI methods and play a central role in how this organization redefines productivity, customer intelligence, and automation through AI, data and technology.
