Zusammenfassung

F5 is seeking a senior engineering leader to guide the OpenTelemetry-based data fabric that ingests, processes, and serves telemetry across F5’s businesses. You will drive the platform’s evolution to multi-cloud data centers while maintaining reliability and governance.

You will manage a team of engineering managers, coordinate with Product, Finance, SRE, Security, and engineering leadership, and set strategic direction for AI/ML data workflows.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years in software engineering, including 6+ years managing engineers and 2+ years managing managers.
• Experience leading engineering org through platform migrations, expansions, or re-architectures.
• Track record of delivering enterprise-scale data platforms under formal SLOs and 24/7 accountability.
• Experience growing engineering managers: leveling and performance management at the manager level.
• Experience presenting technical strategy and investment trade-offs to exec leadership.
• Experience engineering data correctness into production pipelines with validation and automated quality checks.
• Experience designing platform APIs and data contracts for AI/ML, analytics, and data engineering teams.

Aufgaben

• Build, lead, and develop engineering managers with clear goals and high delivery bars.
• Drive delivery across teams, manage capacity, surface risk early, and resolve cross-team dependencies.
• Partner with Product, Finance, SRE, Security, and engineering leadership to turn measurement needs into platform strategy.
• Champion pragmatic AI use and scale responsible deployment of AI techniques across teams.
• Measure and hold teams accountable to commitments.
• Own technical strategy, multi-year roadmap, and engineering standards; decide build-vs-buy and core tech.
