Job summary

A forward-thinking technology firm in New York City is seeking a leader for its artificial intelligence team. This exciting role involves managing the team, integrating innovative ideas, and collaborating with both technical and non-technical senior stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have broad experience in IT and team management, with aspirations to grow within the organization to a chief AI officer position. Flexible working arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in managing team members, ideally from three or four upwards.
• Experience in leading AI, data engineering, or data science teams.
• Involvement with senior stakeholders of varying technical backgrounds.
• Willing to work with senior stakeholders who aren't too technical as well as those who are extremely technical.
• Informed about all things artificial intelligence and interested in growing the team in this area.

For this role, the firm is developing several new information technology teams, including a major artificial intelligence team, and we're looking for someone to lead the group. The firm currently has seven people within this AI team, and this person will look after the majority of the team, if not all, within a few weeks into the process. Overall, it's a highly exciting and dynamic position in which we're looking for someone to integrate their own ideas, materials, and subject‑matter expertise to improve the situation of AI.

Location: New York City HQ + highly flexible working arrangements

Future outlook: ideally, we're looking for a head of AI or technology who can eventually become a chief AI officer or a similar role. Realistically, there will be a pathway to grow and maintain the team, but also a lot of individuality to support you to grow the team and the wider business

• Broad experience across Information Technology, software engineering, artificial intelligence, data science, or similar
