Job summary

San Jose State University seeks a Director of Advancement Analytics and Insights to design, deploy, and lead analytics across University Advancement. You will translate complex data into actionable insights, delivering dashboards, forecasting, and strategic analysis for leadership and teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Data Science, BI, Statistics, CS, Economics, or related field.
• Five (5) years of progressively responsible data analysis or analytics experience.
• Experience leading large-scale analytics initiatives or as primary system analyst/strategist.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-year roadmap for advancement analytics and align with campaigns and priorities.
• Serve as the division's lead BI analyst driving data-driven insights and decision making.
• Partner with teams to ensure high-quality analytics standards per industry best practices.
• Design and standardize KPIs, dashboards, and accountability frameworks for leadership.
• Build interactive dashboards and data outputs tracking fundraising productivity and velocity.
• Oversee automated and self-service analytics reports for frontline staff and leaders.
• Translate complex datasets into clear insights for non-technical users and boards.
• Develop predictive models to uncover donor capacity and forecast revenue.
