Job summary

Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) seeks a Division Director for Advanced Technology and Analysis in Aiken, SC. This high-impact role leads the GSD division, shaping science programs, budgets, and partnerships with national labs, DoD, DHS, and other agencies.

The successful candidate will drive strategic initiatives, mentor staff, and foster collaboration across SRNL and academia, while ensuring safety, security, and mission-aligned execution.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience with 5+ years in technical leadership.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary research teams.
• Technical expertise in core domains such as Cyber Assurance or Energy Resilience.
• Commitment to safety in high-hazard environments.
• Experience managing budgets and overseeing overhead budgets.
• Strong recruitment and talent development track record.
• Ability to work in matrix environments and communicate with stakeholders.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DOE Q/TS clearances.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct line management within the Global Security Directorate.
• Promote scientific excellence and ensure safe, compliant work.
• Lead strategic workforce and succession planning aligned with Lab Agenda.
• Develop cross-cutting programs and partnerships with labs and universities.
• Represent the division on Lab-level committees and task forces.
• Oversee recruitment and talent development.
• Advance SRNL’s technical standing through publications and external relationships.
• Lead community engagement with regional and national stakeholders.
