Job summary

Core6 Talent is partnering with a rapidly growing financial services organization in Austin to identify an experienced Controller / Head of Accounting. This leader will build the accounting function from the ground up, establish US GAAP-compliant policies, and report to executive leadership.

You'll drive an ERP transformation, oversee the first Big 4 audit, and manage complex multi-entity consolidations while developing a scalable finance team.

Qualifications

• Experience as Controller or Head of Accounting in a growing organization.
• Experience in financial services, fintech, or similarly complex industries.
• Strong US GAAP expertise including revenue recognition and consolidations.
• Experience preparing for and managing external audits, including Big 4 transitions.
• Hands-on ERP implementation or major accounting systems transformation.
• Proven leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale the accounting function with strong controls and reporting.
• Own technical accounting and financial reporting including GAAP compliance.
• Lead audit readiness and execution with external auditors.
• Lead ERP transformation and platform selection/implementation.
• Oversee multi-entity consolidations and intercompany activities.
• Develop policies, processes, and a scalable accounting team.
