Job summary

Spin.AI is looking for a financial leader to manage end-to-end revenue recognition and design comprehensive month-end close processes. This individual will oversee the integration of billing systems with existing tools such as Salesforce and QuickBooks while ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and GAAP. The role demands a strategic partner for budgeting and M&A integration, requiring versatility in managing complex international accounting operations.

• Own revenue recognition processes in compliance with ASC 606.
• Design and implement month-end close processes.
• Lead the implementation of billing systems.

Job description

• Own end-to-end revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606—this is the #1 priority for the role.
• Audit and overhaul existing revenue operations processes; contracts are managed in Salesforce and must flow into a clean, compliant rev rec workflow.
• Partner cross-functionally with Sales and Customer Success to ensure contract terms are structured for proper recognition.

Month-End Close & Financial Reporting

• Design and implement a rigorous, repeatable month-end close process.
• Develop and own a close checklist; drive accountability across the process.
• Deliver timely, accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

Global Accounting & Consolidations

• Navigate international payroll and cross-border payment complexity.
• Own intercompany eliminations and FX considerations as the global footprint grows.

Systems & Infrastructure

• Lead the implementation of billing systems and oversee integration with Salesforce and QuickBooks.
• Drive the ERP evaluation and migration roadmap as the company scales beyond QuickBooks—including issuing and managing an RFP process.
• Implement and manage an expense management platform to bring rigor to the expense side of the business.
• Evaluate and adopt next-gen AI-enabled finance tools where appropriate.
• Operate as a fully autonomous accounting leader – this is a solo role to start, with an expectation to hire and build a team underneath you as the company grows.
• Work closely with global accounting consultancy and manage relationships day-to-day.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Support M&A; integration work as needed.
