Job description

About Alex

Alex is the AI recruiter for hiring great people.

Alex interviews, screens, and schedules every candidate – over voice, video, and text – so talent teams hire more great people, faster, without adding TA headcount. The recruiter stays in control: every shortlist is approved by a human, and every relationship and offer is owned by the customer's team.

We're past 1M+ interviews, integrate with 33+ ATS platforms, and 96% of candidates prefer interviewing with Alex. We're revenue-generating, well-funded, backed by premier investors, and are focused on enterprise customers: selling to VPs of Talent Acquisition, CHROs, and CFOs who are rethinking how hiring gets done at scale.

About the Role

This is a founding leadership role. Alex has grown fast on new business. The revenue that comes after the first signature now needs an owner: you. You'll take a live book of 70+ enterprise and staffing accounts, own net revenue retention as your number, and build the renewal and expansion motion that makes it repeatable via your team of strategic Account Managers.

We'll be direct about why this role exists: post-sale has never had a strong commercial owner. You'll inherit a team of 3 AMs and the mandate to re-charter how they create value for our key customers. This is a player-coach seat — you'll run your own strategic expansions while building the playbook the team runs on. You report to our CEO and work in office in San Francisco.

What You'll Own
  • Net revenue retention. Renewals, expansion and churn across the whole book. You set the forecast, you defend it, and it becomes the number leadership plans against.

  • Every post-sale metric, end to end. NRR, GRR, logo retention, expansion booked — you define them, instrument them in Salesforce, and own them. When someone asks why the number moved, you're the person who knows.

  • The renewal engine. A dated plan on every renewal long before it comes due, a save motion for accounts that are borderline, and no renewal (or churn) that arrives as a surprise.

  • The expansion motion. Forecasting plans on the accounts with the most headroom and upsell triggers read off real usage data rather than a calendar reminder.

  • RPO client activation. When an RPO adopts Alex, their recruiters get more capacity — and their clients become candidates for Alex in their own right. You'll build a repeatable playbook for every RPO we sign.

  • The team. Rebalance books, set account plan and QBR standards, shape AM compensation and performance plans, and hire as the motion earns it.

Note: You’re not technical support.

Every Alex account is run by a pair: an AM and a Forward-Deployed Engineer. The technical implementation and configuration belongs to the FDE team. The relationship, the renewal, and the expansion belong to your team.

We built it this way intentionally. Most post-sale leaders spend their careers absorbing implementation work that quietly eats the hours meant for commercial conversations, and then get measured on a number they never had time to move. That trade does not exist here. Your job is a commercial one, end to end — and protecting that line for your team is part of the mandate.

About You
  • You’ve owned a revenue number — ARR, NRR, GRR, renewals, expansion — at an enterprise SaaS company. You can name what you carried, where it started, and where it landed.

  • You’ve managed AMs or CSMs carrying a quota, and you’ve personally run six-figure renewals and expansion negotiations. You still like doing the work.

  • You’re rigorous about the metric: you can define NRR, defend the crediting rules underneath it, and hold your own in a room where the number is being questioned.

  • You’re a builder. There is no existing playbook for post-sales, and you’d rather build one than inherit a fully built one.

  • You’re credible with a CHRO and with the recruiter using Alex every day, in the same afternoon.

  • Staffing, recruiting or HR-tech experience isn’t necessary — curiosity about the industry is.

  • This isn’t the role for you if you aren’t driven by metrics and revenue.
