Summary
Assigns staff according to policies and works to ensure an equal distribution of duties.
Supports teamwork and encourages staff to provide resident care properly and timely.
Completes rounds to assess residents and their care needs.
Identifies and reports concerns and needs to appropriate staff members professionally and promptly.
Receives report from charge nurses and completes shift reports for the Director of Nursing.
Manages and disciplines staff appropriately.
Assists employees in resolving performance and behavior issues positively, promoting responsibility, accountability, and autonomy to enhance resident care.
Reviews and revises care plans based on resident assessments with Charge Nurses.
Identifies appropriate nursing interventions for the care plan.
Implements and documents resident and family teaching related to healthcare needs, ensuring understanding.
Participates actively in direct patient care.
Answers call lights and assists with resident ADLs as needed.
Completes rounds to ensure residents receive appropriate nursing care timely.
Maintains a safe, comfortable, and clean environment.
Completes monthly QAPI, daily nursing labor forms, and monitors pharmacy recommendations.
Attends Team Leader meetings twice monthly and CNA meetings monthly.
Maintains knowledge of emergency procedures and safety issues.
Handles crises promptly and professionally.
Coordinates activities and assignments to ensure proper functioning of each neighborhood.
Analyzes problems, offers recommendations, and initiates resolution professionally and timely.
Investigates concerns or incidents and takes appropriate action, informing the Director of Nursing.
May be assigned additional duties as needed.
Job Qualifications
Current RN license in the state of employment.
Two years of long-term care supervisory experience preferred.
Three to five years of long-term care or similar nursing experience.
Excellent communication skills to interact with residents, visitors, and staff.
Ability to prioritize, multitask, manage time, and organize daily activities to meet standards.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
Ability to lift objects over 200 lbs with proper techniques and assistance.
Ability to transfer and move residents with assistance, using proper techniques.
Ability to push and pull equipment over 40 lbs with proper techniques.
Manual dexterity and coordination for working with residents and equipment.
Ability to perform documentation accurately.
Ability to manage diverse activities.
