Job summary

Albany Medical Center's Department of Otolaryngology is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Albany, NY. As the only fellowship trained head and neck/microvascular surgery group in the region, this position offers growth within a progressive team that provides comprehensive ENT cancer treatment.

The role features no on-call or weekend duties, with a primary site at 50 New Scotland Avenue, Albany NY 12208, and opportunities to participate in in-office procedures, follow-up

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited NP program.
• Current New York licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Experience with electronic medical records; Epic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in in-office procedures with the opportunity to learn and utilize flexible laryngoscopy.
• Provide follow-up care to patients, including post-operative visits and inpatient care as appropriate.
• Recognize and respond promptly to post-operative complications, ensuring timely intervention and optimal patient outcomes.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory studies.
• Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions as permitted by state regulations.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions, treatment plans, nutrition, growth, development, and disease prevention.
