Job summary

The VA Boston Healthcare System's Division of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery seeks a full-time academic Head and Neck Surgeon/Otolaryngologist with specialty training in head and neck oncologic reconstruction, including microvascular free tissue transfer, and expertise in DaVinci robotic transoral surgery of the pharynx.

The incumbent will practice the full spectrum of ENT (rhinology, laryngology, otology), participate in teaching, supervision, and research, and work within

Qualifications

• US citizenship per VA requirements.
• Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an approved school.
• Full and unrestricted medical license in the US.
• Residency in an accredited core specialty with board eligibility.
• For faculty status, board certification may be required.
• Experience in head and neck oncologic surgery and facial reconstruction is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients across Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
• Perform complex head and neck oncologic and reconstructive procedures including microvascular transfer.
• Utilize DaVinci robotic transoral surgery for select cases.
• Provide care in rhinology, laryngology, and otology; participate in call coverage.
• Engage in teaching, supervision, and scholarly activities including research and publications.
• Collaborate with Veteran-centered interdisciplinary care teams.
