Job summary

Kansas City School District is seeking a 26/27 Middle School Head Track and Field Coach for Northeast Middle School. This seasonal, part-time role involves leading the program, coordinating practices, and ensuring safety and compliance with MSHSAA standards.

The position requires completion of MSHSAA/NFHS Coaching Principles and Sports First Aid Courses, along with 8 hours of professional development. Reports to Athletic Director/Building Principal and supports district athletic goals.

Qualifications

• Must complete MSHSAA/NFHS Coaching Principles Course and Sports First Aid Courses.
• Must fulfill 8 hours of professional development: district level 4hrs; school level 3hrs; outside clinics 1hr.
• Strong commitment to the student-athlete concept and knowledge of eligibility center regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the middle school track and field program in line with MSHSAA standards.
• Assist in implementing athletic standards and attending required sessions.
• Supervise student-athletes at practices and contests and manage game logistics.
• Organize practice schedules to maximize student-athlete potential and safety.
