Job summary

Grand Rapids Community College (GRCC) seeks a Head Men’s Soccer Coach for the GRCC men’s soccer program, reporting to the Director of Athletics. The role leads all program activities, recruits student-athletes and ensures NCAA/NJCAA compliance and academic support, while coordinating with athletics staff and coaches.

The adjunct faculty position is part-time (50% fall, 20% winter) and non-classroom; schedule during Winter Semester with compensation details governed by the Faculty Association

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Three or more years of soccer coaching experience required.
• Collegiate head coaching experience preferred; Collegiate recruiting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of NJCAA or NCAA eligibility and compliance preferred.
• Administrative experience preferred; NJCAA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the men’s soccer program in planning, organizing and coaching.
• Ensure compliance with college, conference and NJCAA policies.
• Support academic success of student-athletes.
• Coordinate recruiting visits and tryouts per NJCAA and GRCC guidelines.
• Reconcile budget expenditures and manage receipts per GRCC policies.
• Attend practices, games, tournaments, and meetings; liaise with Athletics staff.
