JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Harrisburg Athletics is seeking candidates for the position of Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach. This position reports to the Director of Athletics and is responsible for the development, implementation, oversight and operation of the College’s new NCAA Division III varsity intercollegiate men’s lacrosse program, including all aspects of coaching, recruiting, budgeting, scheduling, fundraising and managing the intercollegiate program within the policies and principles of Penn State University and the NCAA.
The Coach/Coordinator will be responsible for:
Compliance with University policies, state laws, including those pertaining to required clearances, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
Oversight of the activities of assistant coaches, staff, boosters, and student athletes to verify compliance, with a mandate to self-report violations.
Identifying, evaluating, recruiting, and retaining prospective student athletes.
Coordinating practice planning, skill development and designing coaching strategies.
Providing support for the coordination and execution of the athletic programs.
Assisting with the supervision and training of athletic programming staff; developing employee manuals and implementing training programs and/or internships.
Assisting with the implementation of marketing and advertising plans for programs; presenting materials for camps, clinics, public speaking, and/or special events.
Adhering to general and program-specific safety policies, including the communication and enforcement of safety practices; maintaining certifications.
Suggesting items for purchase in support of athletic programming.
Ensuring proper use of sports-related equipment and report issues; assisting with equipment inventory and maintenance.
Adhering to and supporting work unit’s strategic plan and adhere to established programming budget within University guidelines.
Education and Experience:
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is: $35,600.00 - $500,000.00
