Job description

Head Lifeguards assist Assistant Pool Managers in operating and managing City swimming pool facilities, supervising staff to ensure safety, customer service, and community involvement through aquatic programs and activities.

Work Hours: Various hours, typically from 5:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., including any day of the week and certain holidays.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 15 years old at the time of hire.
• Possession of a valid lifeguard certification; applicants without certification must complete the City’s StarGuard Lifeguard Certification class.

Additional Information:

• Part-time positions offer limited benefits as required by law.
• Part-time positions are unclassified, at-will, and serve at the discretion of the City.
• Interviews and skills testing will be conducted periodically as applications are received.
• This recruitment aims to establish an eligibility list for current and future vacancies across all four aquatic centers.
