Job summary

Elizabeth Seton High School (ESHS) seeks a Head Lacrosse Coach to lead all aspects of the lacrosse program in line with the school's mission and values. The role includes creating rosters, managing administrative duties, and guiding student-athlete development academically, athletically, and personally.

You will develop daily practice plans, teach fundamentals, and prepare athletes for competitions while ensuring safety protocols and compliance with school and league rules.

Qualifications

• Previous lacrosse coaching experience; head coaching experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of lacrosse fundamentals, strategies, safety practices, and rules.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and lead a competitive, student-centered athletic program.
• Ability to teach lacrosse skills to student-athletes with varying levels of experience.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, families, coaches, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the lacrosse program in alignment with ESHS’s mission and values.
• Create, maintain, and submit accurate team rosters.
• Manage all team-related administrative responsibilities.
• Guide the personal, academic, and athletic development of each student-athlete.
• Develop, communicate, and execute daily practice plans.
• Teach lacrosse fundamentals, techniques, strategies, and rules.
• Prepare and condition student-athletes for practices and competitions.
• Establish and enforce safety, injury-prevention, and emergency procedures.
• Develop game strategies, assignments, and manage team during competitions.
• Lead game-day preparation, equipment, uniforms, field setup, and cleanup.
• Recruit, supervise, and evaluate assistant coaches, when applicable.
• Maintain attendance and participation records; manage equipment inventory.
