Connelly School of The Holy Child, Inc. in Potomac, MD is seeking a Head Junior Varsity Tennis Coach. Under the Director of Athletics, you will help develop all players in the program on and off the court, fostering a championship-caliber environment.

The fall season runs Aug 24 through Oct 30. Practices are held 4:00-5:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with matches 1-2 times per week starting at 4:15 PM. The position offers a seasonal stipend of $4,000 for the duration of the fall season.

Job description

Working with the support of the Director of Athletics, the Head Junior Varsity Coach is responsible for assisting in developing all players in the program on and off the court through a championship caliber environment, an open door for competition and development of skills, character, and leadership at all levels.

The fall season starts August 24 and runs until October 30. Practices are held at Cabin John Courts Monday - Friday from 4:00-5:30. Matches occur 1-2 times per week and start at 4:15.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, coaches, and community.
• Experience coaching/participating in tennis at the high school or collegiate level. Knowledge of applicable league rules.
• Excellent organizational and motivational skills

COMPENSATION

The stipend for this position is $4,000 for the season.
