Job summary

Bonnabel High in Kenner, Louisiana, seeks a Head Coach for the Boys Indoor Track program. The role entails leading the development, organization, and implementation of the entire track program, with compliance to LHSAA and JPPSS regulations and a commitment to student-athlete success.

The position requires after-school hours, possible weekends/holidays, and coordination with athletic leadership. Transportation and current physicals/insurance management are part of duties; strong communication

Qualifications

• Valid Louisiana teaching certificate and LHSAA qualifications.
• CDL Class B with P and S endorsements (no air brake restrictions).
• Meets Louisiana Department of Education school bus driver component requirements.
• Demonstrated knowledge of track fundamentals and coaching principles.
• Professional knowledge of LHSAA rules and Jefferson Parish Public School System (JPPSS) track regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, organize and implement the full track program.
• Lead track personnel and student athletes.
• Adhere to LHSAA and JPPSS rules and regulations for track.
• Schedule games and track-related activities.
• Maintain equipment, records and safety documentation; ensure proper player insurance and medical compliance.
• Provide supervision and participate in professional development.
