Job summary

Lake Forest College, located just north of Chicago, seeks a part-time Head Handball Coach to lead its lacrosse programs. The role requires significant on-campus presence, including evenings and weekends, reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Athletics.

You will organize scheduling, travel, roster management, budgeting, and academic monitoring, while actively recruiting student-athletes for both men’s and women’s teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required in a field related to athletics or higher education.
• 1–3 years of collegiate or professional athletic experience in lacrosse is preferred.
• Excellent time management and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented, fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

Coaching our 51x National Championships program with extremely talented student-athletes within a highly selective liberal arts environment are highlights of the role.The position requires a strong on-campus presence, including significant evenings and weekends, and reports to the Assistant Vice President for Athletics.We encourage applicants to submit a cover letter and resume demonstrating the requisite experience for the role.

• Recruiting: Recruit qualified student-athletes for both the men’s and women’s programs at the College.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 1-3 years of experience in collegiate or professional athletic experience in lacrosse
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented, fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

Salary: $17,000- $20,000
