A leading educational institution is looking for a Lead Maintenance professional to oversee grounds maintenance across San José Unified. This position involves managing grounds upkeep, ensuring safety compliance, and mentoring staff, while requiring strong organizational skills and certifications. Ideal applicants will have experience in maintenance work and possess effective communication abilities.
The impact you will have: Groundskeepers maintain more than 40 properties across San José Unified, ensuring our grounds are beautiful, clean, and safe for our 30,000 students and 3,000 employees. Our Head Groundskeeper identifies and addresses San José Unified’s facility needs by providing training, mentorship, and support, as well as performing grounds duties at various sites. Who you are: You have prior experience performing skilled or semi-skilled maintenance work related to electrical or low-voltage service. You possess strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to efficiently coordinate, prioritize, and plan work for yourself and others. You communicate effectively and build positive relationships.
